Hello,

Welcome to my homepage. I teach high school American History, College Credit Plus American History, Psychology, and Senior Seminar. I also serve as Key Club advisor and assistant coach for the varsity football team. I have a passion for my profession and take pride in educating the students of Tri-Village High School. Below you will find my professional and personal background, as well as my teaching philosophy.

Professional Background:

I graduated from Tippecanoe High School in 2014 and went onto earn a Bachelor of Arts in History degree at Wright State University in 2019. I landed my first teaching position at Tippecanoe Middle School where I taught 8th grade social studies. I taught at TMS for one year, then came to Tri-Village Junior High School as a 7th and 8th grade social studies teacher. I taught two years in that position and earned a Master of Arts in History with an Emphasis in Education at Grand Canyon University during that time. I moved up to the high school in the 2022/2023 school year and am still in that position.

In addition to my degrees, I completed the Intensive Pedagogical Training Institute in 2019 and the Professional Development Institute in 2023 through Ohio State University, as well as have earned 30 college credit hours of graduate coursework, mostly at the University of Dayton.

Personal Background:

I'm married with a son and a dog. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, reading, playing guitar, and following sports.

Teaching Philosophy:

My teaching philosophy is to capture the hearts of my students, to help them discover their purpose, and to prepare them for the world. I make an effort to engage with my students beyond the classroom, to encourage them to maximize their potential, and to exemplify and instill into them respect, responsibility, and integrity.
