Hello,

Welcome to my homepage. I teach 10th grade American History, College Credit Plus American History, Psychology, and Senior Seminar and serve as the co-advisor of Key Club. I have a passion for my profession and take pride in educating the students of Tri-Village High School. Below you will find my professional and personal background, as well as my teaching philosophy.

Professional Background:

Following my graduation from Tippecanoe High School in 2014, I went onto earn a bachelor's degree from Wright State University and a master's degree from Grand Canyon University. From there, I began my teaching career at Tippecanoe Middle School where I taught 8th grade American History. After that, I began teaching at Tri-Village Junior High School teaching 7th grade World History and 8th grade American History, then I moved up to the high school to teach 10th grade American History, along with a few elective courses. I have furthered my education by completing the Intensive Pedagogical Training Institute and the Professional Development Institute Ohio State University, as well as earning 30 college credit hours of graduate coursework through the University of Dayton.

Personal Background:

I'm married with a son and a dog. In my free time I enjoy spending time with family, reading, playing guitar, and following my favorite sports teams (Washington Commanders & Cincinnati Reds).

Teaching Philosophy:

My teaching philosophy is to capture the hearts of my students, help them discover their purpose, and prepare them for the world. I make an effort to engage with my students beyond the classroom, to encourage them to maximize their potential, and to exemplify and instill into them respect, responsibility, and integrity.
