Hi, my name is Mattie Brewer! I am so excited to be teaching first grade once again at Tri-Village! I grew up in Darke County and was raised in New Madison from the time I was born, being the youngest of three children. I went to elementary and high school at Tri-Village, and I graduated from high school in 2004. I aspired to be a teacher, and attended Indiana University East in pursuit of a degree. I graduated from IU East in 2008 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. I began teaching at Tri-Village in 2008 and was married during the summer of 2009 to my wonderful husband Chris. I had my first child, Grady, in September 2012, my second child child, Annie, in September 2014, and my third child, Hazel, in December 2020. I went back to school and received my Master's Degree in Education in the Spring of 2011. I am currently in my 14th year of teaching, all in first grade, and love every minute of it! Each year brings new adventures and revelations for both my students and myself. I am very excited to begin this school year with a fantastic group of students!
