Welcome to another school year. My name is Ron Bauman, and I am the Intervention Specialist for students in the 5th and 6th grades. I am excited being a part of Tri-Village Schools.
Let me tell you a little about myself. This will be my 43rd year in education. I have taught in a number of schools across Ohio. I am orginally from Northeast Ohio and graduated from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Communications Education. I taught high school and middle school Language Arts. Shortly within my career, I obtained my elementary liscense. I taught 5th and 6th grades for a number of years. I then attended Wright State University and completed my Masters in Special Education as an Intervention Specialist. During that time I was teaching at National Trail until 2013. I was offered a job at the Ohio Department of Education as a Content Specialist and reitred from there in 2015. I returned to National Trail and taught 7th grade for one year. In 2016, I became a Title Coach here at Tri-Village Elementary. I then stepped into my current position as an Intervention Specialist where I am working with students mainly in Reading and Math. I am very excited for the changes that are happening this year. I feel that all students will be benefiting from these changes.
I live with my wife, Barb, whom I have been married to for 42 years. I have 3 children, Anya, Alyssa, and Andrew, who all have taught during their careers. My daughter, Anya, teaches 6th grade science and social studies here at Tri-Village. I also have 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. We live outside of Eaton on a farm where we raise beef cattle and chickens.
