Welcome to your foreign language class!  In order for the year to go smoothly, the following are expected.  I expect you to:


  1. enter the classroom and be in your seat when the bell rings. 

  2. follow the behavior guidelines found in your passbook (Code of Conduct).

  3. be attentive to me and your classmates when teaching and learning are taking place. (ie, a good listener and a good contributor)

  4. purchase a 1” 3 ring binder and loose leaf paper to use for class.  Levels 1 and 2 need a black dry erase marker, dry erase eraser, and a large glue stick.

  5. bring your pencil and binder with paper to class each day. 

  6. write your assignments, quizzes and tests in PENCIL.

  7. not chew gum.

  8. ask questions when you do not understand.

  9. ask what you have missed when you are absent the next day you are in school.

   11. keep appointments for doing make-up quizzes or tests or a 0 will be given.

3.  Third offense               Detention and points subtracted from CP grade

4.  Fourth offense              Referral to Mr. Morris and points subtracted 

                                            from CP grade.



The class participation expectations are below.  They are worth 40% of your total grade.  Tests also are 40%, quizzes are 35%, and any in-class work that I grade, or homework that I grade is worth 25% of your grade.

Student never displays disruptive behavior during class.

(minus 1 point for gum each day you have it)

Am I chewing gum?

Am I behaving properly?

Student is always prepared for class with assignments and required materials.

(minus 1 point until you bring yours in when needed)

Do I have my supplies for class?

Each day you are in class, you can receive 5 points for a total of 25 points every week, unless weeks are shortened.  Absences are excused from grade but no grade is given if absences are greater.

Am I in class more than I miss?

      2 points daily
