On March 7th & 8th, the Tri-Village Drama Club will be presenting Midsummer/Jersey, the hilarious high-octane re-telling of Shakespeare’s Midsummer Night’s Dream set on the boardwalk of a seaside town in modern-day New Jersey. The story is centered on the affairs of four love-struck teenagers and their endeavors to pursue love at all costs. The play takes an intriguing turn as the crushes accidentally become entangled in a magical fairy world where the king and queen’s argument over a birthday present spirals out of control. With the meddling of an iPhone-obsessed wood sprite and a powerful flower that causes anyone to instantly fall in love, Midsummer/Jersey is sure to deliver with high-energy and quick wit that will have you laughing long after the curtain falls. Showtimes will be at 7 pm on both nights. Tickets will be $10.00 a person and will go on sale in the office February 24th as well as be available at the door. 25% of the proceeds will go to benefit Victory World Missions a program that feeds, houses, and educates 250 children in Kampala, Uganda. Come out and support your Tri-Village students as they put all their energy and hard work towards a wonderful cause, and have a lot of fun along the way!
