TV Cheer 3rd @ State

In February, the Tri-Village High School Cheerleaders traveled to Miamisburg High School to compete at the OASSA Cheer Southwest Regionals. The cheerleaders performance earned them their fourth consecutive bid to compete at the State level.
On Saturday, March 9 they headed to Columbus for the 2019 OASSA State Cheer Championship held on Sunday, March 10 at the St. John's Arena.  Tri-Village competed in the Cheer Non-Mount Division Vi level.  This level is based on the current enrollment of girls currently in 9-12th grades posted by the Ohio High School Association.  The Tri-Village cheer squad took the floor giving a strong cheer and dance routine that landed them placing "3rd" by just 2.7 points.  The team goal this year was to break into the top 3 at the State level and that is just what they did.
The ranking went as follows: 1st place Holgate, 2nd place Antwerp, 3rd Tri-Village and 4th Ft. Loramie. Congratulations to the TVHS Cheerleaders for representing Patriot Nation and Darke County well!

1:1 Initiative for the 2018-2019 School Year

Dear Parents,

We are excited to inform you that the Tri-Village Local School District will continue to move forward with our 1:1 initiative in the 2018-2019 school year. The District recognizes that education, much like the world, is changing exponentially and our goal is to equip our students and staff with useful tools for learning.  We hope this initiative will bring the 21st Century to the forefront, as well as engage your children in additional critical thinking, collaboration and communication activities.

In 2015, The Tri-Village School District began purchasing and utilizing Chromebooks for students to access digital content in the classroom. Since then, the district has purchased, received grant funding and in kind donations to add an additional 500 Chromebooks to our K-12 campus. Our staff and students continue to feel the benefits of incorporating devices in daily instruction and are continuing to grow in their learning about best practices of blending the traditional classroom with digital learning.

For these reasons and more, our 1:1 initiative has continued to evolve. Beginning in August 2018, all K-6 classrooms will be equipped with at least 20 Chromebooks for instructional use and every 7-12 on campus student will be assigned a Chromebook, meaning each student will have access to and be responsible for a Chromebook throughout the school day. For now, students will be using this device in school only but as a staff we will continue to evaluate the needs of students when deciding about future use outside of school.

School Bus Driver Appreciation Day

Monday, May 7 will be School Bus Driver Appreciation Day in Ohio. The Ohio Legislature has designated the first Monday in May for this purpose. As we near the end of another school year, consider taking this opportunity to recognize your bus drivers and thank them for their dedication and daily service to Ohio’s school children. School transportation is the safest mode of travel for our children, and we could not accomplish this without our drivers.
