I would like to welcome you to Tri-Village Elementary for another great school year! I will be your child’s fourth grade math teacher.
I will start by telling you a little bit about myself. This is my 14th year at Tri-Village! I graduated from Minster High School in 2003. In 2007, I graduated from Bowling Green State University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I taught third grade for a year in Gulfport, Mississippi. After a year, I moved back to Ohio where I became a substitute teacher for a few years while working on obtaining my Master’s Degree in Reading and 4th-5th Grade Generalist Endorsement at Wright State University. Currently, I live in Minster with my husband, Adam, and our four children. I have a 15-year-old daughter, Kaleigh, 13-year-old son, Caden, 8-year old, Kyla, and a 6-year-old, Kora.
Your fourth grader is in store for many meaningful and challenging math experiences this year! Fourth grade has a big emphasis on number sense and fractions. The students will be expected to multiply and divide fluently. Other mathematical concepts we will cover include: addition/subtraction, place value/rounding, geometry, measurement, fractions, and decimals. Students will further develop their math skills through full class instruction, as well as small group sessions tailored to make learning these new mathematic concepts fun and interesting!

For those of you who email, I check my email several times a day therefore this would be the quickest and most efficient way to contact me. I am excited to help your child grow as a learner, and I can’t wait to see what exciting experiences this year holds for us!
